My busy week isn't over yet. I'm spending this morning at work getting in a few precious hours of overtime. Saturday overtime isn't too bad. I get to sleep in and come in whenever. Hardly anyone is here. Usually one of the manager brings some yummy breakfast food (but no one did today - and the cafeteria is closed - I had sun chips and diet dr pepper from a vending machine for breakfast). Anyway, I'll just keep concentrating on the $$ I'm making while here and hope that it'll balance out the $$ I spent drinking at shows this week. Not to mention the extra gas I used going to and from practice.
I feel like my life has been exceedingly uninteresting and every time I try to write something on here and kinda blank out. Everything has been work, band, work, band. On the band front there is some good news. While we never did find a label, we did get a nice distro deal going on. Details are still being worked out but we're pretty sure the new record will be out in July. It will be followed by some touring (not sure where or how much but some).
Hmmm, I've been reading a bunch of Alastair Reynolds books. He's one of the newer, big "hard" sci-fi writers. Really interesting stuff. Like the best of this kind of sci-fi, it's full of ideas and concepts and big "what ifs".

i love reading about what my friends are reading. i have this list scribbled on the back of an envelope that's all battered from being carried around in my purse with the names of authors or books that sound cool. i'm adding this guy to my list.
